Trainees in the East of England Multi-Professional Deanery are encouraged to pursue clinical or basic sciences research in ophthalmology. 

 In Cambridge, The Brain Repair Centre and the Pathology laboratory have active research programmes. More information about research activities in Addenbrooke's Hospital and Cambridge can be found here.
